KADEM Women in Innovation Team at Web Summit 2023

The KADEM Women in Innovation team participated in Web Summit 2023, held in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 13-16, ensuring the international promotion of the project. The event, which hosted over 70,000 participants from more than 160 countries, included nearly 40 startups, 7 medium and large-scale companies, and a total of approximately 250 individuals from Turkey, alongside the Women in Innovation team.

At Web Summit, there was an opportunity to meet entrepreneurs, investors, acceleration programs, and many different professionals from all over the world. The Women in Innovation team shared their experiences by meeting with women entrepreneurs from other countries and mentors working in the field of entrepreneurship. The Women in Innovation program was met with great interest at the fair, where KADEM’s other works were also presented.

 

The Presidential Investment Office and the DEİK stand also participated as partners from Turkey at Web Summit 2023. Companies such as Havelsan, Sahibinden, and GO Art Metaverse were present within the DEİK stand. Additionally, 23 entrepreneurs supported by the Investment Office and Istanbul Development Agency also promoted their ventures at the stands in the area.

The Women in Innovation team at Web Summit received intense requests for the program to be conducted in English, in addition to mentorship offers aimed at supporting the internationalization processes of their ventures. Furthermore, international summit and program invitations from countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Poland, and Ukraine led to inclusion in the global network in this field.

The Women in Innovation team met with the Turkish delegation at a reception hosted by our Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Zeynep Kaleli Barata Silverio at the Lisbon Embassy, as part of Web Summit 2023. The team also attended the Fark Labs Annual Web Summit Cocktail.
