This year marks the 7th edition of the Women in Innovation Project, launched under the leadership of KADEM. The project aims to enhance women’s entrepreneurial skills.

In this period of the Women in Innovation project, women entrepreneurs will compete to transform their ideas into commercial ventures with the support of Üsküdar Municipality, Yıldız Technopark, Istanbul TTO, Turkish Exporters Assembly as project partners, TÜBİTAK Marmara Technopark, Bilişim Vadisi as affiliates, and KOSGEB, within the scope of the Entrepreneurship Financial Support Program of the Istanbul Development Agency. This year, 1550 women are expected to apply for the project. 30 selected entrepreneurs will be eligible to participate in the camp, and 6 of them will make it to the finals.

The primary goal of the Women in Innovation project, held for the seventh time this year, is to boost women’s entrepreneurial courage and support them in transforming their projects into ventures with high employment potential…

During the camp organized within the scope of the project, candidates will be offered the opportunity to join an online platform and an ecosystem with over 5000 entrepreneurs. Entrepreneur candidates will also be provided with free use of an open office and prototyping workshop, experience sharing with unicorn (valued over $1 billion) entrepreneurs, and access to investment funds. During the camp, which will also grant application mentorship for national and international projects and photo/video promotion opportunities in digital newspapers, free access to finance, sales, marketing, and customer management applications will also be provided. At the end of the camp, 6 successful projects selected by the jury from among the 30 participants will receive awards.

This year, the pre-incubation award amounts were set at 150,000 TL for the first place, 100,000 TL for the second, and 50,000 TL for the third. The incubation award amount was decided as seed investment support for the top three entrepreneurs.

Since 2015, the Women in Innovation Project has been organized six times, with 1900 women entrepreneurs applying so far. Of these, 174 were selected for camps and received training. At the end of the camps, 13 of the 30 women entrepreneurs who made it to the finals and received awards and certificates established their own companies. Award-winning entrepreneurs continue to achieve success in various fields.
