Women Entrepreneurs in Innovation with Their Ideas Exceeding Limits Were at TEKNOFEST Ankara

The world’s largest aerospace, aviation, and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, took place with 125 stakeholders at Ankara Etimesgut Airport between August 30 and September 3. At TEKNOFEST, a festival shaping the future, there were also Women in Innovation entrepreneurs with ideas that pushed boundaries. Ravzanur Eker and her team Coridor, from KADEM’s Women in Innovation project, and Merve Aydıner with her initiative Invamar, were at the Women in Innovation stand.
KADEM was at TEKNOFEST with the Women in Innovation Project
The Women and Democracy Association (KADEM) announced its Women in Innovation Project, which supports women entrepreneurs, to wider audiences by opening a stand at TEKNOFEST. The stand, designed with QR codes displaying visuals and texts of the Women in Innovation finalists’ initiatives, attracted a large number of visitors for 5 days.
On the opening day of TEKNOFEST Ankara, KADEM Board of Trustees Chair Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar and T.C. Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş visited the KADEM stand. In the following days of the festival, the stand was visited by T3 Foundation Chairman Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Assoc. Dr. Safa Koçoğlu, Members of Parliament Rümeysa Kadak, Lütfiye Selva Çam, Zeynep Yıldız, Dr. Ravza Kavakcı Kan, SESRIC Director General & 66th Government Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk. Guests visiting the stand were informed about the Women in Innovation project and the Coridor initiative, which was a special collaboration for TEKNOFEST.
Coridor opened up to the festival that took flight this time
A special task completion and reward game was designed for TEKNOFEST with the Coridor initiative by Ravzanur Eker and her team, finalists of the Women in Innovation Project. Three contestants who completed the Coridor game fastest, which aimed to both inform stand visitors about Women in Innovation and the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and provide entertainment every day, were rewarded. Visitors were also informed about the Invamar initiative by Merve Aydıner, who is also a Women in Innovation finalist and had an entrepreneur stand at TEKNOFEST.
Additionally, to amplify the impact of the experience area at the stand, an interactive bicycle simulation game and the “Code Challenge” visual memory game, specially prepared for TEKNOFEST, were played. In the bicycle simulation game, visitors collected KADEM points appearing on the screen in front of them as they pedaled the bicycle. In the “Code Challenge” game, visitors in groups of 2, 3, and 4 tried to memorize the code written on the screen for 20 seconds and then write the exact same code within the remaining 90 seconds. Visitors who wrote it correctly received small gifts. Both games received great interest from visitors.
Under the slogan “Because You Will Come”, the 5-day festival hosted a total of 125 stakeholders, including ministries, presidencies, public and private sector organizations, and academic institutions within Turkey’s national technology ecosystem. As part of the festival, many entrepreneurs presented their initiatives individually or as teams in the TEKNOFEST Entrepreneurship Competition under themes such as “Education Technologies”, “Communication and Information Technologies”, “Agricultural Technologies”, “Disaster Management Technologies”, “Transportation and Mobility Technologies”, and “Space, Aviation, and Defense Technologies”. At the end of the presentations, the best initiatives were awarded by T.C. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
