The “2023 Entrepreneur & Investor Meeting” Took Place within the Innovation with Women Project

Ideas, projects, presentations, and future plans… The Innovation with Women 2nd Demo-Day meeting featured vibrant scenes.

The 2nd Investor & Entrepreneur Meeting (Demo-Day) of the Innovation with Women Project, which was held for the 7th time this year, took place on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Sheraton Grand Istanbul Ataşehir. The program, attended by KADEM Foundation Board of Trustees Chairwoman Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar, included project stakeholders, invited investors, and 10 women entrepreneurs from various sectors seeking seed investment in the incubation category.

As part of the Innovation with Women 2022 project; the Entrepreneur & Investor meeting (Demo-Day), where women entrepreneurs who dream, work, and realize their projects presented them to investors, featured vibrant scenes.

KADEM Foundation Board of Trustees Chairwoman Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar, in her speech at the Innovation with Women 2nd Demo-Day event, said: “As you know, women’s entrepreneurship specifically holds significant potential within the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Difficult starting conditions, structural problems hindering the development of women’s entrepreneurship, environmental and economic factors, access to finance, and of course, challenges like sustainability… Women overcoming all these difficulties and joining the entrepreneurship ecosystem creates opportunities not only for themselves but also for you, valuable investors. Your investments will strengthen women’s role in the entrepreneurship scene and contribute to Turkey’s economic growth.”

Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar concluded her words by saying: “I sincerely wish that the women entrepreneurs who will receive their first vital support from your hands today will strengthen our country’s female employment with the businesses they establish, and become role models by inspiring subsequent women entrepreneurs.”

Innovation with Women Project Continues Since 2015

Following the opening speeches, the Demo-Day event continued with presentations by 10 women entrepreneurs, who shared their interesting and innovative projects. The program, enriched by questions from investors to entrepreneurs after the presentations, concluded with B2B meetings held one-on-one between investors and the entrepreneurs they selected.

Since 2015, KADEM has been implementing the Innovation with Women Project to enhance the skills of women entrepreneurs who say “I Have an Idea” and to transform their ideas into ventures with high potential for creating qualified employment.

Within the scope of the project, organized for the 7th time this year:

• Müge Baltacı was awarded first prize with the “Köstebek” project in the Incubation Category,
• Merve Aydıner received second prize with the “Invamar” project,
• and Nazife Nur Köksal was awarded third prize with the “SynthData” project.

In the Pre-Incubation Category:

• Zuhal Oktay Coşkun received first prize with the “Süper Kablo” project,
• Güneş Sayıt received second prize with the “Swatchloop” project,
• and Ravzanur Eker was awarded third prize with the “Coridor” project.

To date, 2050 women entrepreneurs have applied to the project. Of these entrepreneurs, 210 qualified to participate in training camps. While 36 entrepreneurs successfully reached the finals, 26 entrepreneurs received awards by realizing their projects.
